Horsemen
Located in the frieze area of the Parthenon, this relief sculpture enriched the plain wall and directed attention towards the entrance to the temple. The artist achieved the feeling of motion by sculpting the legs of the horses in deeper relief . Also he made the figures more prominant by scaling down the size of the horses.
