| These artwork embellishing these doors were the result of a competition between two of the greatest sculptors of the time. Lorenzo Ghilberti and Filippo Brunelleschi. The were both charged with creating the best relief panel showing the "Sacrifice of Isaac". In the end, the composition of Ghilberti's panel won the commission. |
