Guarini affectively applies
Borromini's principle of undulating facades. He
divides it into three units, the one curves much like the facade of Santo Carlo
alle Quattro Fontaine, and is flanked by two block-like wings.

architectural syle. Guarini was a priest, mathematician, and architect who,
over a 17 year period, converted a provincial town into a fountainhead of
architectural theories that would sweep much of Europe.
