Aphrodite of Melos
This piece of artwork was found on the island of Melos. Known also as the Venus de Milo, this sculpture was said to belong to a group of sculptures which included Cupid. In the original setting Venus's arms were extended towards Cupid but as shown above, time has given us the image that we now remember.
