| Summary |
| Before the end of the 15th
century, Florence lost the unique position of leadership in the arts. Many of
the great artists of the time stayed true to Florence such as
Michelangelo and Leonardo but worked throughout Italy as
Florentine artists. Before they left they had
already established the style of the 16th Century. This style inspired many
other great artists such as Raphael who's artistic
education was the result of Florentine influence. |
