Here we go
again with the eager faces, the enthusiastic mindset, and the high hopes in all
of the students who show up in the art room. The truth is, some are eager for
the chance to learn, and improve their skills in art. Some are here to get a
grade, and still others are here to have some fun. To me, I try to treat them
all the same. After all, if students can have some fun in my class and learn
the many skills we provide in this art department, they deserve good
grades.
The classes are sort of big this year, but as
long as the supplies hold out it shouldn't be too much trouble.

In Design ( 2 classes this year of 20+) their
solutions to our composition study have been some of the best I have
seen.....EVER. The ceramic studio students are displaying skills that rival
recent years in the slab technique, the painters are on task daily and are
doing exceptional work and the Studio Art students are all on task and are
doing challenging works in an independent setting. Computer Graphics has
returned this year and several of those students are doing work that rivaled
earlier classes as well. I am proud of the leaders in these classes so far and
look forward to the new year and the successes yet to come. |
